My process for existence

“Tree of Hope, Stand Straight!” - Frida Kahlo Mexican Expressionist Artist

Many people who are sensitive to nature perceive trees as sacred entities that represent living connections and social structures. Recently, there have been many studies that claim that not only trees but also plants can communicate with each other and have energy potential.

When they start sawing the tree down, so as not to jam the chainsaw, first, a small wedge-shaped segment is cut out:

The artist urges to comprehend the finite existence of the forest, to fix the state of the loss of a significant part of the natural landscape.

It is no longer possible to get lost in the ghostly forest, but by combining the two spaces, the author calls out the audience to consciously refer to the still living forest.

I feel my feelings and convey them to others ”- the artist passes this principle through the filters of the social component of our life, which in reality is far from idealistic ideas imposed on us by the mass media. The reality of events is determined by the choice of their interpretation, both inside and outside the comfort zone. How do we create in our worldview another form of life, a political system that is incapable of resisting the destruction and destruction of the environment around us?

The author sees the most urgent threat in the substitution of the concepts of our social life and the conscious, consistent decline in the quality of the modern cultural “landscape”.

Many forests are genetically identical trees and when dying, they strive to have time to replace themselves with “clones”, releasing shoots from the roots. But this process is catastrophically slowed down by the deteriorating ecology and human activity.

Installation “Portal to Illusion” – a cube made of a mirror, with a mirror surface inward, measuring about 50x50x35, with an open top, where the segments of the first pieces cut out of wood are located. (The author collects these pieces at the site of the felling of trees). Reflecting from the walls, the image is completed and creates the appearance of tree cuts.

Based on the Frida Kahlo famous quotes, I never paint dreams or nightmares. I paint my own reality.
